OnlyFans Fees: How Much Does OnlyFans Take?
Updated October 29, 2026 · OnlyFans Finder team
OnlyFans takes 20% of everything a creator earns — subscriptions, tips, pay-per-view messages, paid posts and live streams. The creator keeps 80%. There's no sign-up fee, no monthly fee and no extra charge for payouts from OnlyFans. What you actually take home also depends on taxes, your bank and, if you have one, your agency. Here's the full picture, with a calculator.
Where a fan's $10 goes
| Fan pays $10 subscription | Amount |
|---|---|
| OnlyFans' fee (20%) | $2.00 |
| Creator's earnings (80%) | $8.00 |
| VAT or sales tax (paid by the fan on top, where it applies) | varies |
VAT or sales tax is added at checkout depending on where the fan lives. The fan pays it, it goes to the tax authorities, and it doesn't come out of the creator's 80%.
OnlyFans earnings calculator
| Fans pay | $1,500 |
|---|---|
| OnlyFans' 20% | −$300 |
| Agency | $0 |
| You keep, before income tax | $1,200 |
The calculator assumes every subscriber pays the full price; discounts, free trials and refunds lower the real number. The starting price is the median of 6,562 paid pages in the OnlyFans Finder index.
What OnlyFans' 20% covers
Payment processing, hosting and streaming your content, fraud and chargeback handling, identity checks for fans and creators, and support. Unlike most platforms, there are no tiers: a new creator and a millionaire pay the same 20%.
Payouts
- Minimum withdrawal: $20 of available balance.
- New earnings aren't available immediately; they clear after a holding period before you can withdraw them.
- Bank fees: OnlyFans doesn't charge for payouts, but your bank may charge for receiving an international transfer or converting dollars to your currency.
- Chargebacks: if a fan disputes a payment with their bank, the amount is taken back from the creator's earnings.
Referral earnings
OnlyFans pays creators a referral share when a creator they invited starts earning, taken from OnlyFans' own fee rather than from the new creator's 80%. The exact terms are in your OnlyFans referrals settings.
Agency commission
Agencies take their share of what's left after OnlyFans' 20% — usually 20% to 50%. On $1,000 of fan payments:
| Agency commission | Creator keeps |
|---|---|
| 0% (no agency) | $800 |
| 20% | $640 |
| 30% | $560 |
| 40% | $480 |
| 50% | $400 |
Whether that's worth it depends on how much more the agency brings in. Compare agencies, what they charge and the red flags in our directory of OnlyFans agencies.
Taxes
OnlyFans doesn't withhold income tax for most creators: you're self-employed and pay tax on your earnings yourself. In the US, OnlyFans sends eligible creators a 1099 form; elsewhere, report your earnings as self-employed income. Keep receipts — equipment, outfits and paid promotion are often deductible — and set aside part of every payout. This isn't tax advice; an accountant who works with creators is worth it once you earn regularly.
What fans pay
Fans pay the price the creator sets, plus VAT or sales tax where it applies. Subscriptions renew monthly unless the fan turns auto-renew off; tips and pay-per-view messages are one-off payments. There's no separate OnlyFans membership fee for fans. In our index the median paid page costs $10.00 a month and 23.3% of pages are free.
