Methodology
- Worldwide spending: fans paid about $7.8bn on OnlyFans in its 2025 financial year (to November): $6.2bn paid out to creators plus $1.6bn kept by OnlyFans, as reported by the Financial Times.
- US share: 42.8% of visits to onlyfans.com come from the US (Similarweb). We use other published estimates of 37–49% as the range. Visits aren't payments, so the US total is an estimate.
- States: each state's share is its Google Trends interest in “onlyfans” for 2025 (searches relative to all searches in the state) times its population (US Census, 2024). That makes the per-person ranking the Google Trends ranking; the dollar amounts put it on the scale of real spending. Trends values are sampled — we average two independent samples, which differed by about 4 points on average — so treat ranks that are close together as ties.

Why do other OnlyFans spending studies give different numbers?
Nobody outside OnlyFans has its payment data, so every state study is a model. Published estimates of US spending range from about $2.6bn to $4.8bn a year; ours, $3.3bn, sits in between. They differ in the starting total (which year, gross or net of OnlyFans' cut), in the US share they assume and in how they split it between states — search interest, population, traffic or ad-network data. Ranks per person move the most, because small differences in the split change the order. We publish every input and a range, so you can check ours.
Is this real OnlyFans spending data?
No — OnlyFans doesn't publish spending by country or state. These are estimates: OnlyFans' reported worldwide fan payments, the US share of its traffic, and each state's share of Google searches for OnlyFans weighted by population. Use the ranges and treat state figures as approximate.
